Weather & Activity Overview
The Activity tab in VitalSync includes a built-in weather section — a premium outdoor activity planner that helps you decide the best time to walk, run, cycle, or stay indoors, all without using GPS or requesting your location.
What You See
| Section | What It Shows |
| Hero Card | Current temperature, condition, precipitation %, wind speed, feels-like temp |
| Activity Readiness | A short motivating message based on current conditions |
| Best Windows Today | Hourly forecast highlighting the 1–3 best outdoor activity windows |
| 5–7 Day Forecast | Daily high/low, condition, rain chance, and an activity tag |
| Outdoor Insights | Condition-based guidance (e.g., "Great for a run", "Better indoors") |
| Motivation Engine | Combines weather with your step goal progress and streak |
How It Works
Privacy
VitalSync does not use GPS. Weather is based only on the city you choose. No live location tracking is used.
All weather data is fetched by city name only. No coordinates, no background location access, no tracking.
Activity Readiness Messages
The app generates short, motivating, non-medical guidance based on conditions:
- Ideal (60–75°F, low wind, low rain): "Perfect day to hit a run"
- Warm (76–85°F): "Warm and ready — great for a light session"
- Hot (86–95°F): "It's heating up — keep it short and easy"
- Very Hot (96°F+): "Heat is high — indoor movement may feel better"
- Cool (45–59°F): "Crisp air — perfect for a run"
- Cold (<45°F): "Chilly out — bundle up and go"
- Rain: "Rain on the radar — quick outdoor move or stay dry"
- Windy (>20 mph): "Breezy out — keep expectations flexible"
- Storm: "Rough weather — indoor mode activated"
These messages are not medical advice. They are simple, non-clinical activity suggestions only.
