Using the Vital Monitor Chart
The Vital Monitor is VitalSync's full-screen multi-metric trend chart. It plots up to six vital sign metrics on a single time-series chart with colour-coded lines, glowing data-point dots, and a dual right-axis scale so you can compare metrics that use different units on the same canvas.
Opening Vital Monitor
Time Range Selectors
Four pill-shaped buttons at the top let you switch the chart window:
| Selector | Window | Best For |
| 6h | Last 6 hours | Spotting same-day spikes |
| 7d | Last 7 days | Weekly patterns |
| 30d | Last 30 days | Monthly trends |
| 90d | Last 90 days | Quarterly review with your care team |
The active selector is highlighted in teal. Tap any selector to instantly re-render the chart.
Metric Toggles
Six colour-coded pill chips below the time selectors let you show or hide individual metrics:
| Chip | Colour | Metric | Unit |
| HR | Pink/Red | Heart Rate | BPM |
| SYS | Cyan | Systolic Blood Pressure | mmHg |
| DIA | Purple | Diastolic Blood Pressure | mmHg |
| SpO₂ | Green | Blood Oxygen Saturation | % |
| BG | Orange | Blood Glucose | mg/dL |
| Wgt | Yellow | Body Weight | lbs / kg |
Tap any chip to toggle that metric on or off. The chart re-renders immediately. You can display as few as one metric or all six simultaneously.
Reading the Dual Axis
Because metrics use different units, the chart uses a dual right-axis:
- Left axis — primary scale (BPM / mmHg / %)
- Right axis (top) — Blood Glucose scale in mg/dL
- Right axis (bottom) — Body Weight scale in lbs
Each axis label is colour-matched to its metric chip so you can quickly identify which scale applies to which line.
Data Points and Glowing Dots
Each logged reading appears as a glowing dot on its metric line. Tap any dot to see the exact value, date, and time of that reading in a tooltip overlay. Dots are colour-matched to their metric chip.
Sharing the Vital Monitor View
Tap the Share icon (top-right) to capture a screenshot of the current chart — including all visible metrics, the selected time range, and axis labels — and share it via iOS share sheet or save to Photos.
Tip: Switch to 90d view and enable all six metrics before your next appointment to give your care team a comprehensive 3-month overview in a single screenshot.
