Setting Up Reminders

An overview of all four reminder types in VitalSync and how to set each one up.

Setting Up Reminders

VitalSync supports four types of smart reminders, each designed to keep a different part of your health routine on track. All reminders are delivered as local push notifications — no account or internet connection required.

How to Enable Notifications

VitalSync requires notification permissions to deliver reminders. If you declined during onboarding:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  • Tap Notifications.
  • Scroll to VitalSync and tap it.
  • Enable Allow Notifications and choose your preferred alert style.
  • Managing All Reminders

To see and manage all active reminders in one place:

  • Tap the Bell icon on the Dashboard, or go to Settings → Reminders.
  • All active reminders are listed by type.
  • Tap any reminder to edit or delete it.
  • Toggle the switch on any reminder to pause it without deleting it.
  • Reminder Delivery

All reminders are delivered as local notifications — they are scheduled on your device and fire even when you are offline. VitalSync never sends your health data to a server to trigger a notification.

Tip: If a reminder is not appearing, check that VitalSync has notification permission and that your iPhone is not in Focus mode with VitalSync excluded.
