Pairing a Bluetooth Device
Step-by-step instructions for pairing a BLE medical device with VitalSync for the first time, including iOS Bluetooth permission setup.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device
Before You Start
- Ensure your device's Bluetooth is turned on (Settings > Bluetooth > On).
- Ensure VitalSync has Bluetooth permission (Settings > VitalSync > Bluetooth > Allow).
- Ensure your medical device is charged and in pairing/broadcast mode (refer to your device's manual).
Step-by-Step Pairing
- Vitals tab for blood pressure cuffs and pulse oximeters
- Blood Sugar tab for glucometers
- Weight tab for smart scales
Reconnecting a Paired Device
Previously paired devices reconnect automatically when you open the relevant tab and the device is nearby and in range. You do not need to re-pair each time.
Removing a Paired Device
Go to VitalSync > Settings > Bluetooth Devices, swipe left on the device, and tap Remove.
Tip: Keep your medical device within 3 metres (10 feet) of your iPhone during scanning for the most reliable connection.
