Pairing a Bluetooth Device

Before You Start

  • Ensure your device's Bluetooth is turned on (Settings > Bluetooth > On).
  • Ensure VitalSync has Bluetooth permission (Settings > VitalSync > Bluetooth > Allow).
  • Ensure your medical device is charged and in pairing/broadcast mode (refer to your device's manual).

Step-by-Step Pairing

  • Open VitalSync and navigate to the tab that matches your device:
  • - Vitals tab for blood pressure cuffs and pulse oximeters

    - Blood Sugar tab for glucometers

    - Weight tab for smart scales

  • Tap the Bluetooth icon (or Connect Device button) at the top of the screen.
  • VitalSync begins scanning. Your device should appear in the list within 10--30 seconds.
  • Tap your device name to connect.
  • If prompted, confirm the pairing on your device (some devices require pressing a button).
  • Once connected, take a measurement on your device. The reading will appear in VitalSync automatically.
  • Tap Save to confirm the log entry.
  • Reconnecting a Paired Device

Previously paired devices reconnect automatically when you open the relevant tab and the device is nearby and in range. You do not need to re-pair each time.

    Removing a Paired Device

Go to VitalSync > Settings > Bluetooth Devices, swipe left on the device, and tap Remove.

Tip: Keep your medical device within 3 metres (10 feet) of your iPhone during scanning for the most reliable connection.
