Smart Reminders Overview
VitalSync delivers four types of Smart Reminders that help you stay on top of your health schedule. All reminders are scheduled locally on your device — no internet connection is required for them to fire.
The Four Notification Types

| Medication Dose | 💊 | Time to take a scheduled medication dose |
| Doctor Appointment | 🏥 | An upcoming medical appointment |
| Medication Refill | 🔄 | Your supply is running low and needs refilling |
| Next Immunisation Dose | 💉 | A vaccine booster or next dose is due |
How Notifications Are Scheduled
Each reminder type has its own scheduling logic:
- Medication Dose — fires at the exact time you set for each dose in the Medications tab
- Doctor Appointment — fires 24 hours before and again 1 hour before the appointment
- Medication Refill — fires when your estimated days-supply drops below your configured threshold (default: 7 days)
- Immunisation — fires on the due date you set when logging a vaccine record
What Appears on Your Lock Screen
Notifications include the reminder type, the item name (e.g., medication name or appointment title), and the scheduled time. Tapping the notification opens VitalSync directly to the relevant screen.
