Setting Macro Goals

VitalSync calculates personalised macro targets based on your BMR, activity level, and chosen diet protocol.

Diet Protocols

VitalSync supports six evidence-based diet protocols:

Customising Your Goals

  • Go to Settings → My Profile → Macro Goals.
  • Select a Diet Protocol or tap Custom to set your own values.
  • Set your Activity Level (Sedentary → Very Active).
  • VitalSync calculates your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) and sets calorie and macro targets accordingly.
  • BMR Calculation

    VitalSync uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation to estimate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) from your age, sex, height, and weight. Your TDEE is BMR × activity multiplier.
