HealthKit on iPad
HealthKit support on iPad requires iPadOS 17 or later. If you are running an older version of iPadOS, HealthKit sync will not be available.
Why iPadOS 17?
Apple introduced HealthKit support for iPad with iPadOS 17. Prior to this, HealthKit was an iPhone-only framework.
What Works Without HealthKit
Even without HealthKit sync, you can still use VitalSync on an older iPad for:
- Manual data entry for all metrics
- Personal Health Report PDF generation
- Nutrition logging (manual, photo scan, barcode)
- Medication tracking
- Correlation Engine (based on manually entered data)
Updating to iPadOS 17
Not all iPad models support iPadOS 17. Check Apple's compatibility list to see if your iPad is supported.
