Enabling Notifications for VitalSync

How to grant VitalSync notification permission on iOS, and what to do if notifications are blocked or not appearing.

Enabling Notifications for VitalSync

VitalSync requires iOS notification permission to deliver medication, appointment, refill, and immunisation reminders.

Granting Permission on First Launch

When you first set up a reminder in VitalSync, iOS will display a permission prompt:

"VitalSync would like to send you notifications"

Tap Allow to enable all notification types. If you tap Don't Allow, no reminders will fire until you grant permission manually (see below).

Granting Permission Manually

If you previously denied permission or need to re-enable notifications:

Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Scroll down and tap VitalSync.

Tap Notifications.

Toggle Allow Notifications to on.

Enable Lock Screen, Notification Centre, and Banners as preferred.

Set Sounds and Badges to your preference.

Checking Permission Inside VitalSync

Go to VitalSync > Settings > Notifications. If permission is not granted, a banner will appear with a shortcut to iOS Settings.

Focus Mode and Do Not Disturb

If your iPhone is in Focus or Do Not Disturb mode, VitalSync notifications may be silenced. To allow critical health reminders through:

Open Settings > Focus.

Select your active Focus mode.

Under Allowed Notifications, add VitalSync.
