Doctor Appointment Reminders

Schedule reminders for upcoming doctor visits — add an address and VitalSync shows a map in the reminder so you can navigate directly to your appointment.

Doctor Appointment Reminders

VitalSync lets you log upcoming doctor and specialist appointments and sends you a smart reminder in advance so you arrive prepared — including a live map so you can navigate directly to the clinic.

Adding an Appointment Reminder

Open VitalSync → Reminders tab (or Health Calendar on iPad).

Tap + New Reminder → Doctor Appointment.

Fill in:

- Provider name (e.g., Dr. Smith — Cardiologist)

- Date and time of the appointment

- Address — enter the clinic's street address (e.g., 123 Medical Center Dr, Suite 4)

- Notes (e.g., bring medication list, fasting required)

Set Remind me: 1 day before, 2 hours before, or both.

Tap Save.

Map Navigation in the Reminder

When you add an address to an appointment, VitalSync displays a map preview directly inside the Smart Reminders screen — no need to open a separate maps app.

Tap the map tile on the reminder card to open full navigation in Apple Maps (iOS) or Google Maps (Android).
The map shows the clinic location, your current distance, and estimated travel time.
The navigation shortcut is also available in the reminder notification — tap "Get Directions" directly from the alert.

Tip: Add the address when you book the appointment so the map is ready when your reminder fires — especially useful for first visits to a new clinic.

What the Reminder Includes

When the reminder fires, the notification shows:

Provider name and appointment time
"Get Directions" shortcut — opens turn-by-turn navigation to the clinic address
A "View Report" shortcut to open your latest Personal Health Report PDF — so you can review your recent vitals before the visit
Your appointment notes

Preparing for Your Appointment

Before a scheduled appointment, VitalSync can automatically generate a Personal Health Report covering the past 30, 60, or 90 days of your health data. Tap Generate Report from the appointment detail screen.
