Your Data Stays on Your Device
VitalSync was built on a single non-negotiable principle: your health data never leaves your device.
What This Means
- No cloud sync: Your readings are never uploaded to any server.
- No accounts required: VitalSync does not require you to create an account.
- No third-party sharing: Your data is never shared with advertisers, insurers, or any third party.
- No server uploads: Food scanning and Voice Scribe run entirely on-device — no data ever leaves your device.
The Only Exception
The Personal Health Report PDF is the only moment any data leaves your device — and you initiate it manually, every time. When you share a PDF, you are sharing a static document, not a live data connection.
iCloud Backup
If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your iPhone, VitalSync's local database may be included in your iCloud backup. This is controlled by iOS, not VitalSync. To exclude VitalSync from iCloud Backup:
Biometric Lock
Enable Face ID or Touch ID in Settings → Security to prevent unauthorised access to the app.
