Before Your Appointment: A Preparation Checklist
A well-prepared Personal Health Report helps your provider make the most of your consultation time. Follow this checklist to arrive ready.
24 Hours Before — Generate Your Report
- [ ] Open VitalSync → Report tab.
- [ ] Set the date range to cover the period since your last visit (typically 30–90 days).
- [ ] Confirm the following sections are toggled on before generating:
- Sleep Analysis
- Nutrition & Diet Profile
- Medication Compliance
- Blood Sugar (if applicable)
- Medical & Surgical History
- Immunisation Records
- [ ] Tap Generate PDF and wait for the report to build (usually under 10 seconds).
- [ ] Review the PDF — check that your name, date range, and all sections look correct.
- [ ] Choose your sharing method:
- Save a copy to Files as a backup.
Tip: Generating 24 hours ahead gives your provider time to review trends before you arrive, making the consultation more focused.
The Morning of Your Appointment
- [ ] Log your morning vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, weight) so the report reflects your most recent readings.
- [ ] Check the Smart Reminders tab — your appointment reminder includes a View Report shortcut to open your latest PDF without navigating to the Report tab.
- [ ] If you added any new medications or updated your Health Profile recently, regenerate the report to include the latest data.
At the Appointment — Sharing Options
| Situation | Recommended Method |
| You emailed the report in advance | Confirm your provider received it; open on your phone as backup |
| You forgot to send it ahead | Use AirDrop to transfer directly to the provider's Mac or iPad |
| Provider prefers paper | Tap Share → Print and use a nearby printer or bring a printed copy |
AirDrop tip: Your provider's device must have AirDrop set to receive from Everyone (or Contacts Only if you are in their contacts). Ask them to open AirDrop before you initiate the transfer.
After Your Appointment
- [ ] Update your Medical & Surgical History in the Health Profile if your provider added a new diagnosis or changed a medication.
- [ ] Update any medication dosages that were adjusted during the visit.
- [ ] Set a new Doctor Appointment Reminder for your follow-up date.
- [ ] Log any new immunisations received during the visit.
Reminder: VitalSync is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. The Personal Health Report is a personal health summary for informational purposes only. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
