Managing Allergies in VitalSync
An overview of the Allergies section in VitalSync — what you can log, how severity is displayed, and how your allergy list appears in your Personal Health Report.

Managing Allergies in VitalSync
The Allergies section lets you build and maintain a personal allergy list that travels with you inside the app. It is designed to mirror the allergy documentation format used in clinical settings, making it easy to share accurate information with your care team.
What You Can Log
| Field | Details |
| Allergen name | Free text — drug, food, environmental, or other |
| Reaction type | e.g., Anaphylaxis, Urticaria (hives), Angioedema, Rash, GI upset |
| Severity | Mild, Moderate, or Severe |
| Onset date | The date you first experienced the reaction |
| Notes | Optional free-text field for additional context |
Voice Scribe Support
The Allergy form supports Voice Scribe — tap the microphone icon and dictate the allergen name, reaction type, severity, and onset date in natural language. VitalSync will parse your speech and pre-fill the form fields. Fields that were not clearly captured are highlighted in yellow so you can review them before saving.
Where Your Allergy List Appears
- Allergies tab — your full list with severity colour badges
- Personal Health Report PDF — a dedicated Allergies section is included automatically when you generate a report
- Before Your Appointment checklist — the app reminds you to review your allergy list before a medical visit
Important: The Allergies section is for personal reference only. It does not replace a formal allergy assessment by a qualified allergist or physician.
