Adding and Editing an Allergy Entry

Step-by-step guide to adding a new allergen, editing an existing entry, and deleting an allergy record in VitalSync.

Adding and Editing an Allergy Entry

Adding a New Allergy

  • Open VitalSync and tap the Allergies tab (or navigate via Settings > Health Profile > Allergies).
  • Tap the + Add Allergy button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Fill in the fields:
  • - Allergen — type the name, or tap the microphone to use Voice Scribe

    - Reaction type — select from the picker or type a custom reaction

    - Severity — choose Mild, Moderate, or Severe

    - Onset date — tap the date field and select from the calendar

    - Notes — optional

  • Tap Save. The entry appears in your allergy list immediately.
  • Editing an Existing Entry

  • Tap the allergy entry you want to edit.
  • Tap the Edit (pencil) icon in the top-right corner.
  • Make your changes and tap Save.
  • Deleting an Allergy

  • Swipe left on the allergy entry.
  • Tap Delete and confirm.
  • Tip: Use the Voice Scribe microphone on the Add Allergy form to dictate all fields at once. Say something like: "Penicillin, anaphylaxis, severe, onset January 2020."
